Hi there. I am a non-native English speaker and currently I'm reading Cage of Stars in En. Can anyone help me understand what does this sentence mean? "Already, there was black rain inside me."

Jennifer Without knowing the context, I think she’s saying that the situation in the book is already having a bad effect on her- she has anger or depression.

Not really a review, but ... Wow! I really liked this book. I came here to see what others thought, and no one is reviewing it! The plot, the descriptions of people and scenarios, the spiritual struggles and evolving ... it has a lot going for it. I would even re-read it some day in the future, and that is my form of praise. Anyone? :)
