What ages would you recommend this for as a read aloud? I have a first and third grader and I want to read this myself, wondering if this is appropriate to read them at bedtime.

I think it would probably be a bit beyond him if he was reading it himself as some …moreI am reading it tom my 9yr old who is quite a mature deep thinker. I think it would probably be a bit beyond him if he was reading it himself as some of the themes need a bit of discussion...the holocaust, prejudice etc. But he is loving it. I would say it would be better for 11-12yrs+ to read on their own. I think a 1st and 3rd grader would be a bit lost in it..an adult though...I want to sneak in and take the book out of my son's room so I can finish it.
