But making a trade for 3 years was just simply misguided. Even worse, Kelsea praises herself at the end for her ability to make such a strong deal. Like you, I thought these were two major plot points that just did not work.(less)

I liked the initial book a lot, but this novel had several problems, IMHO. First, the book almost glorifies cutting, and I believe strongly that the author could have found some other device to show Kelsea's internal struggles. In addition, as I mentioned in my review, this book introduced and explored at least 7 additional story lines, which ended up with a somewhat muddy point of view. It is very much worth reading, but I enjoyed the first book much more.(less)
