There is a part where a man tries to force himself on Anna. A kiss is as far as it goes before someone intervenes and nothing 'inappropriate' is described so I don't think that would be a problem. Because my ancestors were Amish, I was interested to read what their trip to America would have been like. So I think that would make this a good book for an Amish young person.(less)
