However, these notes were included with her writings that she left in her trust, so technically she gave her trust permission to make these materials public. Even without the publication of this book, these notes would have been available to the public in the New York Public Library as part of the Didion Dunne archives. The release of this book allows more people to have access to them, which I think is fantastic.(less)
