I haven't read anything about it in the novels. You might want to send an email to the author. Maybe he's considered it. I actually think Joe is too hard on himself regarding a hand gun. He indicated some time back that it was a mental thing. I'm sure if he practiced at it, he would get proficient enough. He uses the shot gun as a crutch.(less)
