This looks heart-wrenching, and I've wanted to read it for a while. I tend to be quite emotional when it comes to books. Will this make me cry?

There are a few stories in here (ie Hell is the Absence of God, Division by Zero, and Story of your Life) that have very emotional ties but for the most part, I would not label it a tear jerker by any means. Hi everyone, a quick question: in stories of your life-arrival story, louise mentions someone to her daughter saying: "you know who" , "ı didnt wanna say his-her name", "the one whose name I don't want to mention" like that, I dont remember exact mention ,because I read the book in my language, so, I dont get who is the person.help me please?

As far as I know, the book was originally published as Stories of Your Life and Others, then after the success of the movie Arrival (which is based on one of the stories in the book), the movie-tie-in editions were released with the same title as the movie.(less)
