I'm nearing the end of this book. I expected a lot more from this book, but I just couldn't get into it. I thought I was hooked for the Saint Guy-Free part of the story, but the rest fell flat. Sure, it was pretty weird and disturbing, but I've heard and seen worse. I want a book that will rattle my insides, and really disturb me for days. Anyone?

I need to talk to someone about this book. I'm trying to digest it. I don't know if it's vile trash or provocative writing. It made me feel very strong emotions, which is usually a hallmark of good writing in my opinion, but the emotions were so, *so* unpleasant. I just finished reading "Exodus," and I don't know if my heart or stomach can handle the rest of the book. Is it worth it?

After about 50 pages I decided there were so many other books I would rather read simply because I did not care about any of the characters or their situation. "Vile trash" may be a bit harsh, but at times that's what I felt I was reading. (less)

wilhelmina i read this book at about 12 years old and was not affected but i would say it would typically be ranked 18+, maybe even 21+.
