What did you think of the final chapters? I was disappointed. Maybe there will be a sequel, because he hinted there were more mitochondrial markers to trace beyond the seven in the title--but without any data on them. Has anyone seen promise of a sequel from Sykes? I hope he is working on it now, because the current book does not substantiate the promise of the title. Though it is mighty good most of the way.

It's of interest how the author created the theory and how it was preserved from attacks, sometimes from peers who had history with the doctor. But, when the author speculates stories from the locates of where bones were discovered without much anything to create such detail ... is just Not useful. Speculation in science for progress of science is expected But it's often the reason we're living with all of the cr@p science going no-place in many fields.

But isn't it Nice that these science authors have their fandom? :-p(less)
