I’m confused, did Rufus die? Check page 334 and page 353 in the hardcover book. She watched him be buried, and then all the sudden he’s still in the hospital?

Sharon On page 334 she had a flashback of Rufus being wheeled in to A&E on a gurney not of him being buried.

Kim I don’t know if you can ever love a book as much as that one, but this is still excellent. His writing style shines through.

Sharon The story doesn’t mention who is with Hugh in the cafe. She sees him with another gentleman on the way to Louise’s retirement dinner. At the end after…moreThe story doesn’t mention who is with Hugh in the cafe. She sees him with another gentleman on the way to Louise’s retirement dinner. At the end after Aaron confronts her, that’s when he gets in the elevator with Hugh. I think the implication is that Hugh has been watching her because of what Aaron knows/experienced. Hugh is feigning an interest in her which she should have realized when she saw him with another man.(less)
