Nick Not really, it's a prequel set just before the first book, so it leads directly into that. It does reference a few events from the second book (which is a prequel many years in the past; Priory does this as well), but they're brief. If this concerns you, you could skip the descriptions of the old rulers of Seiiki in the glossary, as I *think* those are the only parts not already mentioned in Priory.(less)
