Kaylee No. This book is apart of a series. The second book is called Charmed and the third book is going to coming out on February 2017.

Am I the only one who's kind of annoyed that in book one maxine is described as a troll, and is very proud to be, but in book 2 and 3 they say she's a oger? Is it just a typo or something? Because the physical description of Maxine is the same book to book just 'what' she is changes.

But even so, a lot of authors make mistakes when writing books. It's difficult to remember every detail when you're writing a series(and I speak from personal experience with writing.)

It's annoying, really, but it's something you can probably get over after a while, don't you think?

Would you recommend this for a 12 year-old? I've gotta get a present for this kid, and she's read Six of Crows, and she finds a lot of middle-grade books (example KOTLC) kiddish, and I need help.

Beth It would be fine; it's much younger than Six of Crows but you don't have to read all the same thing.
