I really liked Gone Girl, but hated Girl on the Train, is this more comparable to the former or the latter?

I think the reason is - I liked the main character in Gone Girl (strong, smart, badass) - I did not like the main character in Girl on Train (lazy, disorganized, alcoholic). This book definitely aligns more with Gone Girl. She's smart & likeable - although it's complicated!(less)
