If you mean "is this a nonfiction self-help book that will help me turn my life around", then no. This book is a work of fiction, not a self-help guide. However, it still has many great themes, messages, and morals and is sprinkled with facts about happiness. There are passages dedicated to helping the main character become a happier person that you can derive information from, and you get to see her go through a substantial character arc. Personally, this book inspired me to be more happy. But as I've said, if you want a book completely about how you can become more happy, a different book may suit you better.(less)

Hi! I was wondering, if the brother is twenty two, is the best friend twenty two as well? I find it a little odd that a 32 year old would be dating a 22 year old (nothing against it, just weird for me), so I would like to know before I decide whether to pick this one up

Tom Brien Yes there's a big age gap. I forgot exactly but maybe about 8 years. The characters mention that they feel weird about it.

The first half of the book does have a bit of a "a younger man is attracted to me!??" type of fantasy to it, so if that's something you really hate then maybe read something else.

Its not the whole point of the book and starts to fade away in the second half, but it's there.(less)
