Hello, I just read hellspark by Janet Kagan and loved it. Can I appreciate that book with knowing next to nothing about Star Trek ? I remember the name of some crew member but not much about the universe or the relationship between characters.

Knowledge of the show is nice, but I don't think necessary, to enjoy this wonderful book.(less)
