This book tells the almost unbelievable saga of the early movement to allow US women to vote. Before opening it, I knew this was a LONG battle, lead by women such as Mott, Elizabeth Stanton, Susan B Anthony. And most of the other characters in the book were familiar- but this story was UNfamiliar. Anyone else find this a page-turner that reads MORE like a fantastic novel than a retelling of true events?

I did not realize that it was tied so closely to the early civil rights movement. I found that story interesting, but in general the book dragged and had too many useless details. I think that tighter editing could have made it a much more compelling book.(less)
