i found this book in the new romance section at Barnes and Nobles , however it doesn't seem like it is a romance at all, so was it misplaces?

The ending left me hungering for more. But I'm still wondering, did Jessica and Dr.Gruen (is that her name?) kill each other and because Angela was there at the wrong time, the powers went to her?
