I have read the first two volumes. The first one was not medicre at best while the second failed in the very end. The whole problem was solved through deus ex machina. There is no progress and nobody really dies. At best gets transformed. Also the plots are really thin. Does the series get better? If so, in what way? And especially at what volume is the turning point in quality?

Do the characters like Bigby and Snow show up again in the series and are still big characters? Or do they just make tiny appearances or don't show up again?
Kurt Both Bigby and Snow are major characters throughout most of the series.
