Has anyone out there ever tried to find any of the locations from the books. I'm going to Borrowdale area shortly to explore, am I wasting my time ?

These books are not now on our libraries catalogue, does anyone have all the six books of The Herries Chronicals?
Janis go to Project Gutenberg (US site)... they have them as free download.

I am so astonished at the abilities of Mr. Walpole to create such characters. There isn't the kind of frenetic action, there are only relationships which wind and tremble in my heart. I have only based these thoughts on the BBC radio adaptations. So I wonder about when in Mr. Walpole's development as a story teller did this work occur?

I love these four books and can't stop reading them over and over again. Has anyone tried to find any of the locations in the books. I'm afraid I am obsessed with looking around Glaramara, Watendlath etc. I am spending a weekend in November searching around Borrowdale and Keswick . Am I alone in this quest AND am I wasting my time ?
