Why are sibling relationships so popular in YA romance? I know they're only related thought their parents marriage but the concept still grosses me out.

I can understand it being weird if your parents marry when you are young, like 4 or so and grow up together. But if they marry when you are already an adult or just a few years away from being an adult then it's not weird to date your STEP- sibling. I use sibling loosely. You're not related unless you truly want to be related to the other person. (less)
