The story began as a fan-fiction of a 1981 unfilmed screenplay. The short story picked up some critical acclaim and it was decided to release it freely online in March of 2014.
Back then I had spoken with screenwriter Clair Noto who was believed to be the rights holder to the "derivative works" of her screenplay.
In December, Clair changed her mind and asked that we stop distributing the story.
However... since then it has been discovered Clair signed another contract in 1997 with Universal Pictures that meant she may not be the rights holder after all.
The book is in limbo until we can figure out who are the genuine rights-holders and permission is sought. The book has been shared freely online for almost a year so if you search online for long enough you will probably find a free download.
