Even the first edition of the book stated some named had been changed and, very obviously, it's unreasonable to assume she would have kept the man's actual name in the book, as that brings with it all sorts of legal problems.

So who you should really be blaming are the sad excuses for reporters who harassed a man who had nothing to do with that particular story. They are the ones who are actually responsible.(less)
