how realistic is the story? The Edelweißpiraten existed & had a role in the experience of younger people. But - does this make them out as more heroic than they were, e.g. on par w/ the White Rose? Are situations plausible? How heavy handed is the morality? Do characters act as 30s German kids or are they modern kids w/modern views/understanding?

It's more of a personal story and less about the Edelweisspiraten or even about Nazis, except how it related to the main character. I thought he really did seem to be from the era and not modern day.(less)
