I did read The Big Sky first and while I would still have enjoyed The Way West, I did enjoy knowing ab…moreI agree that the books are only loosely linked. I did read The Big Sky first and while I would still have enjoyed The Way West, I did enjoy knowing about Dick Summers’ past when he was reminiscing . He is the only character in the book who appears in The Big Sky, though, so it isn’t a big deal if you don’t read it. (less)

Barbara Yes, I would say so. Relationships are looked at but no explicit sex scenes.
