You don't need anyone's permission, at least in the U.S. Probably it's the same in other countries as well, but you should check your country's laws just to be certain, or ask someone to check for you. I'm a lawyer, though, and off the top of my head I'm not aware of any countries where anything written before 1900 is still protected by copyright.

P.S. I see you're from Spain, so I did a quick check on your country's copyright term. Copyright in Spain lasts for the life of the author plus 80 years, and as far as I can tell from my quick online search it's been that way for a long time, so I assume that's the rule that applies here. Since Henry Van Dyke died in 1933, it looks like you're in luck! But I advise you to check with a lawyer in Spain just to be certain.(less)
