Haven’t read yet. Why do authors and/or the publishing industry choose recycled book titles? It seems crazy to have two books called “The Husbands”. If someone hears about a great book called The Husbands and searches for it, they’ll probably end up buying Chandler Baker’s book. Seems needlessly risky from a business/money standpoint. How/why does this happen? Can’t someone say “no can do, pick a different title”?

I remember reading that Agatha Christies wanted to call Sleeping Murder Cover her Face. But PD James had just released her debut novel by the same name, so Agatha had to shelve that title for hers. That was a good decision. I dunno why they don't do it anymore.(less)
