I agree that the language is very confusing, and the sentence structure unconventional. I feel like if I were a religious scholar it would have made a whole lot more sense.

And I'm not sure if he thinks there is an afterlife or not, but it was my impression that it was kind of assumed for there to be one from his perspective and the way he talks about God. (less)
