How is this book different from "Beware the Night"? Is it more of a book based off the screenplay of the movie? The movie itself isn't completely true to Sarchie's actual experiences such as there wasn't a possessed stuffed animal in his daughter's bedroom, nor did he kick someone to death. Were of these in the book version of "Deliver Us from Evil"?

While I believe that the book is all real, the movie was made more for popular appeal.
The book is excellent in that it tells mostly of many visits to demon affected houses and apartments that were made by the author. It also, at times, explained background and the author's personally held beliefs. Highly recommended.
The book makes real demon influences that most people wish to ignore or deny. When you see how real, you will be more motivated to arm yourself against it (by Bible-based study).(less)

Why is it that every negative review of this book is invariably an attack on Catholicism ? Perhaps its the people who are generating the negative reviews who have the problem with their own lack of belief and are looking for dissertations on "the dark side" rather than the truth about belief.
