I don't think anyone under 15 or 16 should read this book. Though the violence isn't too graphic, there is some sexual content not fit for children.

While there aren't any sex scenes, there are allusions to sex and sexual implications throughout the book (though none are explicit). Several scenes contain prostitutes or discussions regarding prostitutes. There are also a few mentions of rape and a brief scene contains the attempted rape of a child. (less)
