I was a bit surprised when I started this book as to how familiar it seemed. Its almost identical to Georgette Heyer's book "These Old Shades" even to the main characters name - Justin. Is this allowed?

I was fascinated by allusions to other Georgette Heyer books. I recognised The Masqueraders and The Convenient Marriage, of the same period as Love’s Charade. I’m sure other people could pick more.

Did the author have fun alluding to a favourite author?

I thoroughly enjoyed the book but was disappointed by the poor proofreading – words run together and typos.
