However, I'm not 100% sure I caught everything as I realize I'm not the most careful reader at all times. The "connection" in most of the stories was more just an overlap. For example something like this would happen: main character would be in Grand Central and see a pretty girl in a yellow dress. See her drop her suitcase and feel sorry for her. In either a previous or upcoming story the main character would be wearing a yellow dress and lose her luggage. Another thing that was reoccurring was the Oyster bar as a setting from one of the stories and many characters heard the violin music from the first story. However, the best and most important (in my option ) came in the last two stories. The next to the last story ended somewhat up in the air. We see in the final story that the lead character has made it back to the terminal and is rushing and calling for the man she hopes to travel and establish a life with. It was relatively subtle and Im not sure had a person taken time off between stories it would have been caught.

Hope this helps. I see it's been almost a year since you asked -- but I just today finished the book.
