I am starting to attempt to understand Islam and this is one of the books I have bought. I was disapointed to find that it had no index. Could anyone explain why this is so?

I thought i…moreI would recommend Andrew Rippin, Muslims : their religious beliefs and practices (3rd ed., 2005). It's on Goodreads, and I've reviewed it. I thought it was balanced and informative. It introduces Muhammad and the Qur'an, covers law, government, and theology, describes Sunni, Shia, and Sufi Islam, and talks about Islam in the modern context. I'm sure there are others as good, but that's the one I know.(less)
