The blurb for this book does not do it any favors. I don't think it could sound any more racist. Good grief. Is it as bad as it sounds?

Later on in the story do you think Philip will find his family again or will Timothy be all he has for the rest of his life? How would you slove the problem of being stuck on a boat with a man you do not know? Do you believe that the war will will come to Philips home Curacao where his Dad is currently living?

What do you think Timothy thinks of Philip, would he rather be on the raft by himself? What evidence can you find to support where Philip's mom went, will Philip ever see his mom again? What changes would you make to solve Philip being blind?
