Should I only read this after the first two books in the Les Valeureux series or can I only read this one?

Liz Schere Absolutely no need to read the other two. Cohen depicts these characters in this universe - no need to visit the other two.

1. What did it mean when Ariane was repeating "last night there'd been Ingrid"? What happened among them? 2. "A midget was weeping" in the final page. Who was the midget?

Friends, has this book been translated into English? I don't see that mentioned anywhere... very surprising for a book on this Le Monde's list (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Monde%27s_100_Books_of_the_Century).

Still reading it I've reached the 400th page. Despicably good introduction of the time and manners as well as great and patient establishment of characters. It's a pity that I hadn't read it sooner. I didn't know there were other volumes how good they are?
