Should this book be read before Shadow Hand?

It takes place during the context of Veiled Rose. One of the characters, Leonard, is in Heartless, Veiled Rose, and Moonblood (edit - oh right, and I guess in Shadow Hand as well!). Another of the characters is in Golden Daughter but this novella can definitely be read before or after Golden Daughter - either way it will be fun to see the character in two different lights. But as far as Shadow Hand - you can read it before or after.(less)
