I have noticed a very mixed bag of reviews. Some that love the book while others believe it is a collection of unsupported and misleading junk. I have to wonder did anyone read Booth's introduction? His only promise is to provide a different perspective of the world based on his own personal interpretation of his research. How can the reader expect anything more than an entertaining jump down Alice's rabbit hole?

Did anyone think this was stupid?

Why was this book's analysis of Islam so lame? If you want a better alternate history of the world, read al-Muqaddima by Ibn Khaldun.

Very enjoyable but tenuous conclusions? For example "the date of the siege of Troy is also the date of the first trick in history."
