Amy Yes, I got this from my public library and read it on my Kindle. I also got an audio download for a long drive I had and wanted to finish it up.

Would you suggest reading these in the order published or in chronological order for the character? For instance, if I start with the prequels, does Every Crooked Path introduce you to the character as if you hadn't read the Chess series or would I be lost? Thanks.

I had Pawn and Rook in hard copy but couldn't finish the first as it was a bit too much 'criminal minds' for me. I like mystery and suspense but do not enjoy exploring the mind of a psychopath. Is the whole series like this or do they tame down?
