I really like the book. It shows even though you are older (old), you have so much to offer. Rebus, a police detective, proved that thoughts and old school techniques are very useful in present. If you are a mystery lover, you will appreciate this book. Would you give it a try?

John Hilson Absolutely. Although Rebus is essentially unreconstructed, a degree of pragmatism helps him navigate the current realities of policing in Scotland.

Unanswered Questions (1)

In this story it is mentioned that Rebus is driving a different Saab (car) to the one he had when he was at Summerhall, and unusually there are no concerns about its performance. Is this the only Rebus book in which there is any mention of him replacing his Saab?
