After encountering Anne Rice (AR) years ago, and her accomplishments in this genre, I never had the opportunity to read, nor, came across anything similar in this bit of modernity (?): I led a sheltered life in some respects. Ms Verdad has a breezier, and perhaps more informed perspective than AR on this Scene, as it's often referred to.
