There is one very brief undescribed sexual enc…moreIt's an adult novel, but it's very readable for anyone from about 12 years up with good reading skills. There is one very brief undescribed sexual encounter; the only other notable issue is the violence. This consists mostly of attacks on humans by the "dark," which are insubstantial creatures that kill either by extracting the blood or, worse, the soul of the victim. Some might find these attacks very frightening. With the warnings out of the way, it's an exceptionally good book, tightly plotted, with fully realized characters, which you often don't find in fantasy fiction.(less)
