Debra The original was released in 1948 by Harcourt Publishing. The copy I am holding was released in paperback in 1999 by First Harvest.

Does it bother anyone else that he does not name his mother in this book? To me it was a serious lapse of respect. I wanted to like this book, having heard his name referenced by so many people I respect, but I had a hard time with his judgmental attitude.
