They ran him do…moreI forgot which book it was mentioned in, but Trent shares with Rachel at some point that Jonathan was not actually killed in The Hunt. They ran him down and turned him into a hound. So Jonathan's punishment for trying to hurt Rachel was being one of Trent's hounds for a while instead of elf. I guess Trent decided he'd been a hound long enough to learn his lesson and had him changed back to his real form by this book.(less)
