Can anyone recommend a book similar to this book/genre? I loved being scared by books, but I do not like gore; I find it cheesy. I just picked up Tremblay's "A Head Full of Ghosts," but haven't started it. I am halfway through Malerman's "Bird Box," but it not of the genre I seek; good book, however! I have Matheson's "Hell House" in waiting as well. I am not a fan of being underwhelmed, so I stay away from corny auth
