It's not hard to state a condescending opinion in the form of a question in an attempt to disguise it as a desire to spark conversation. It's much harder to start an intelligent discourse about a topic that you have a strong negative opinion of without making your opinion the topic of discussion.

In short, less ad hominem attacks, more book criticism. (less)

Same for the cultural revolution that has led to parent being afraid to discipline their children. If you get nothing else out of this book you will still be so far ahead of people who have never thought about this stuff.
Should be required reading in all schools.

So the service includes all kinds of dirty, displeasing but necessary work. Check chapter 2 (less)

While the 1997 film by Paul Verhoeven is an undeniable classic, he freely admits to not having read the source material, and in parodying a parody ended up making a pretty good film—For more on that, the YouTube video-essay 'The Politics of Starship Troopers (2018)' by 'Sargon of Akkad' is priceless.

As for the rest, don't be dissuaded by the low marks. A few can get a bit campy at times, but overall you won't regret watching the film series. In my case, a special mention goes for Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars (2017). If jump-jetting wearing a mecha-suit while firing off tactical nukes at arachno-alien hoards doesn't get your blood pumping, I think you automatically get your man card revoked.
