Hey, you do you. If this is what you believe, then devote yourself to it with no regrets.

It depends on your definition of "fun". Let me put some things in bullet form for you.
-This book is written in a textbook format. Therefore, reading from cover to cover is not recommended unless that's what you want to do. Read topics that sound interesting and jump around a bit.
-This book is not about Greek myths. It's about Greek religion. It goes into ancient religious practices performed by the Greeks of old, how those practices coincide with the myths, and how those practices changed over time (it covers some blood rituals as well, which are real interesting)
-This book doesn't cover all the gods as that would require volumes upon volumes. But the gods that are included are described in great detail.
-This book dispels a lot of commonly held notions of Greek mythology and religion. The biggest one being that ancient religions recognized all the gods in the pantheon and thus the ancient Greeks worshiped the majority of them. Instead, religions would focus on one god or a couple at most, they varied from region to region and era to era.
-This book also covers Mycenaean Greece and Linear B script. For reference, during the time when Homer wrote The Odyssey, the Greeks also had their "ancient Greece" where their stories took place. There was an ancient Greece before ancient Greece. This book covers that time as best as it can as well.

This book is very fun to read for it's reference material. It's informational, not story based. It assumes you know most of the myths already.

If you believe in that pantheon, I'd recommend you pick it up so you can learn more about where your beliefs come from. Perhaps it will help refine your beliefs. Pick it up used and refer to it from time to time. That may be the best way to go about it.

Hope this helps(less)
