3. I'd die. For sure. It's kind of a miracle he didn't. He just miraculously timed it exactly right - if he'd waited any longer he wouldn't have lived through the hike out, if he'd done it sooner, rescue wouldn't have been close enough to get to him in time.(less)

Wonder if Aron Ralston has considered being a motivational speaker? He claimed he learned many lessons during those many hours of peril; he came out stronger and pursues his climbing goals today.

i think the theme is that he has a lot of regret trying to go alone into that small part and him getting stuck. What helped me get the theme was that he was talking about how he got stuck and wished he didn't do what he did. The other characters also helped me because they asked him if he was ok and told him that he shouldn't do that again. How do you think his friends felt about him?

Why does he climb that mountain? Why does he go by himself on a risky path? How does aron get his arm stuck because it doesn't seem like something that would just happen out of the blue

the theme of this story is survival at all costs. I think this because when Aron Ralston went climbing and got his hand stuck and he had to ration his food and water the days he was stuck, he had the choice of one, cut his arm off, or two die. Since nobody knew where he was he had to cut his arm off for any chance at survival because the 800 lbs boulder was not budging.?

1) What was going through his head when he was stuck? 2) Why did he not go climbing with anyone? 3) If there was any other way he could have come unstuck what were they? 4) If he didn't have a knife to cut his arm off what other way could he have gotten unstuck? 5) Would the outcome be different if something else would have gotten caught?
