Did anyone else find that the revelation about D’orothea that she’s actually a white woman who’s been masquerading as black (using vitiligo medications and uv treatments to darken her skin) for the sake of her modelling career) hit just... really weirdly and uncomfortably?

WOW! How does Armistead write this amazing journey of friends and roommates? He is brilliant!

What happened to the money? I am not sure if this story is in the books, but in the series "Further Tales of the City" it seems like something was cut out and it never explains what happened to Jim Jones stash of money. I can't find any references to this plot point anywhere on the internet. My condolences to Marcus D'Amico's family and fans. He played "Mouse" in the original miniseries.
