Though, they seemed to be close and good friends, this was always shaded with the competition in between, where Turgenyev discontinued all relations for a period. The competition lasted even after decades to nowadays. They are both peaks of classical literature but I mus t admit that I am a bit more on side of Tolstoy amongst the three of them :)
