How clean is this book? I saw a review saying that it's really not, but if you had to compare it to another YA novel, what would you compare it to? I'm not too concerned about language, but more sex scenes because I'm not super into that.

I know this is a trilogy, but can you read the first one like a standalone? Does it bleed into the others, or does it have a complete, satisfying ending before the dramas of books two and three?
