Does anyone know of an English translation available for free online? The book has long since passed into public domain so I feel like there has to be something out there.

You can get Lykiard's translation of Maldoro…morethe book may be public domain in French, but as far as I know there are no English translations that are. You can get Lykiard's translation of Maldoror and (I think) all other extant Lautreamont texts in the Exact Change edition for about $20USD give or take.(less)
